Just been to their site. It is now called "klockit". No more tools and
watch parts.

Does anyone know where has all those parts gone, railroad watch dials,
assorted jewels, new balance spring for Hamilton.....etc??

OK. I found out. They closed. But where have all the goodies gone? Who
will now sell a new porcelain Hamilton dial?

The question really is really who was S. LaRose Company. They were a
well known supplier of clock and watch parts, equipment and supplies.
Many of us have at least one Keep Book, their lengthy if somewhat
disorganized catalog. I could only guess why they folded. Possibly
the owners were getting old and could not find a current generation
member to take over. The business may have also fallen prey to the
shift toward lesser expensive electronic timekeepers which are usually
not repaired but just replaced when they break.

My first introduction to the Keep Book was in a clock repair class
taught by a gentleman a few of us might remember - Marvin Whitney, or
"Whit" as like to be called.

The NAWCC Mart usually has advertisements for dial restorers and
sellers of replacement dials.

I'm pretty sure that Randy Thatcher of R&M Imports bought most of the
inventory and moved it to his location in Ohio.
