Hard Chrome Plating?

quite a few companies use the HCP prefix after the calibre number, Ronda
have 3 movements listed on Ofrei HQ 1032 which is gold plated, HQ
1032-HCP nickle plated? and HQ 1032-NP nickle plated
http://www.ofrei.com/page_197.html

anyway who cares, does it really matter, it's a quartz, the only
question I ask is do the hands and dial fit from the movement I am swapping.

its a quartz, a $3000 quartz watch performs no better than the $50 one,
worry about how the watch looks and has the features you want rather
than focus on the movement, because it makes no difference.

the $3000 watch used a $25 ETA movement, they could have used the
thermoline version for more accuracy, but no.
