On the basis that my latest book, "Electrical Timekeeping"
by Frank Hope Jones (1943 reprint) has just arrived, might

Also, there's a chap on ebay selling Synchronome slave movements for a
tenner.

They.ve got the hour / minute motion work included, and only need a
2 volt, or so, pulse every 30 seconds at quite low current / amperage /
rheos
to produce a working clock.
