I'd like to use a pocket watch, but am puzzled how to wear it with just a
regular oxford cloth, button-down the front shirt.

I don't have a vest or a special pocket in my pants.

Thanks,

Pocket watches are normally worn in the top right pocket of your bib
overhauls. Alternatively, all jeans that I have seen have a watch
pocket, although I have found that certain Levi's (particularly the
shorts) have a pocket that is perhaps too small for a 16 size and would
be better with a 14 size. Most Lee and LLBean jeans that I have worn
could handle an 18 size with no problem. With bib overhauls a fob could
work, with jeans I prefer a chain.
Oh so that's what that little pocket on my jeans was intended for. I just
been using it for tickets and things, and just assumed it was a ticket
pocket.

Thanks for enlightening me.
Occasionally you find dress slacks with a watch pocket, altho they are
quite rare. Nevertheless, any tailor worth his salt could install one
right at the belt line.
BTW I don't actually use a pocket watch myself.
