De Carles books on both subjects are great. Practical Watch repair and Practical Clock repair. Both are with excellent illustrations and well written text. Also The Watch Repairer's Manual by Henri B. Fried is good.

The two parts of the Chigaco School of Watchmaking home study course I have read, were good too.
