Hi all,

Just to prove that at least WIS pay attention to watches used by
actors in movies (and also to make marketing people feel useful
sometime), I propose to compile a list of observed watches in movies.
Here goes the starting list:

WATCHES IN MOVIES

- Omega Seamaster (Gadget) - Jean-Claude Van Damme - Double Team / The
Colony (1997)
- Luminor Panerai - Arnold Schwarzenegger - Eraser (1996)
- Luminor Panerai - Sylvester Stallone - Assassins (1995)
- Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch - Robert Duvall (as captain of space
ship) - Deep Impact (1998)
- Omega Seamaster - Jean-Claude van Damme (as policeman) - Maximun
Risk (1996) (with Natasha Henstridge)
- Omega Speedmaster X33 - Gary Sinise - Mission to Mars - (2000)
- Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch - Tom Hanks and co. - Apollo 13 -
actually 6 watches on screen (one for each astronaut hand)
- Bulgari - Pierce Brosnan - Thomas Crown's affair - (gold watch with
black leather band)
- Omega Seamaster Bond - Pierce Brosnan - James Bond movies
- Tag Heuer - Die Hard 2 - (the bad guy - I dont remember its name).
- Sector - Matt Damon - Bourne Identity
- Omega Seamaster Bond Chrono Version - Alec Baldwin - The Edge (1997)
(The bear's movie)
- Casio GShock (set in alarm display to remain fixed) - Keanu Reeves -

floating in a wrecked space ship
- Bulgari Chronometer - Val Kilmer - The Saint

I know that Chuck Maddox has a list similar to this but I cannot

Bill Murray - Lost in Translation - Explorer with stem not screwed down

Jim Carey - Bruce Almighty - stainless with black dial, all the way through the
film. Omega?

Nope! Bill Murray is wearing a Rolex Datejust Stainless Steel, Ref. No.
1603, dark blue dial, 14k white gold bezel, jubilee bracelet. (Crown is
indeed unscrewed!) One of my all time favorite Rolexes.

I know it was an Omega and it looked like a chronograph or
chronographer, but I don't know what model of watch Brad Pitt wore as
Heinrich Harrer in the film, "Seven Years in Tibet." b

I remember coming across someone's website where they were identifying every
watch they could in every movie they could find along with frameshots. I
can't find it any more. But this guy has a pretty fine list:

IWC Mark XV-Tom Cruise-Vanilla Sky (?) and I don't think I've seen it on any
list.

...and then there was James Bond 007's love affair with Omega, Rolex and
Seiko. Plus a brief appearence of a Pulsar II LED watch in 'Live And Let
Die'.
