I'm looking for a watch, but I'm beginning to think it doesn't exist. I should start out by admitting that I don't know all that much about watches, but I though that, if anyone knew where I might find the watch I'm looking for, it would be the members of this group.
So far, the closest I have come is the Stauer 1944 Ritorno watch, because of its face. It has a very clean, uncomplicated analog face with exactly three complications (I believe "complications" is the right word): a dial for the month, another dial for the weekday, and a window for the date. These are the three data that I want. I like that it doesn't show the phase of the moon, doesn't have a stopwatch, and doesn't show anything else I'm not interested in. However, the Stauer also has some disadvantages, the main one being that it is an automatic watch, and I would really prefer the accuracy of a quartz electric watch. I know that I can buy watches that have a dual analog/digital display, with the latter showing the date, weekday and month, but I really like the look of analog dials. Finally, I would like the price to be no more than a couple of hundred dollars.
So, does anyone know of a quartz electronic watch that has the analog complications and uncluttered face of the Stauer Ritorno? Thanks in advance to everyone who responds.
