Band sizing question

I just purchased a new Bulova dive watch from (Princeton Watches).
It's big, bold and beautiful! Question: How can I size the band a bit?
It came with the links set to the smallest placement, but it's a bit
too lose for my comfort. I know I will wack it every time I walk near
something. Will this have to be done at a jeweler/watchmaker by
removing a link? Only problem, it might then be too tight with a whole
link removed. The model is the 96B126 for those interested in seeing
what I'm talking about.

TIA!

Thanks. I'm not that handy with small things. I'll probably have to
take it in. :~Q

It won't cost you a fortune. Wear your Bulova in good health. :-)

Thanks. I'll bring it to a local jeweler who's done good by me before.

Well, I brought it in, cost me $15. Not bad considering the rate
ranged from a low of $10 to a high of $50! When I was handed the watch
back, I pulled the crown to set it and lo and behold, it ripped right
out in my fingers! The WHOLE crown/stem!All I did was give it a gentle
pull, no harder than on any other watch I own. The jeweler put it
back in for me but said it was slightly bent and would likely fall out
again, and that any water tightness (200M as marked) would now be
rendered useless! DAMN! And it looks so nice. I have a call into
Princeton Watches to see what my options are. I'd like to simply
exchange it, Hope I don't have to send it to the factory and wait
weeks for them to get to it!

screw down crown?

well I would think they would just swap it for another one, but you do
have a 2 year warranty on it.

No, surprisingly, it's a push/pull crown. Although the stem part
seemed to have very fine threads on it.(?). Good on the 2 year wrnty.
But I'd rather just exchange it. Princeton is very quick with their
delivery. Usually overnight. If I have to send it to Bulova, who knows
how long I'll be without?

The stem is threaded, that's how the crown is fitted to it. On a
screwdown crown setup you will see thread on(or inside) the case tube.

4-6 weeks. +- the time it takes to figure out whether to replace or
repair the item. :)
They'll likely just drop in a new movement and replace the stem, but
that time frame seems ot be about universal for factory repairs..

I would try Princeton first and see what they will do,
Princeton came through with an offer for a full refund, exchange for
the same or alternate item. They will even refund up to $10 for return
shipping! Considering they shipped it TO me for free, this is a good
deal all the way around. I give Princeton an A+ rating in customer
service based on my experiences thus far. Their selection and prices
ain't bad, either.
