I want to tighten the cannon pinion on a Swiss bar lever movement,dont want
to go pulling if not needed

There is a tool for this consisting of an upright rod on a stand with a
pointed shaft within the hollow centre of the rod. The cannon pinion sits in
a 'V' below while the slightest tap on the pointed shaft imparts a 'pip'
indentation on the waist of the cannon pinion. Gives grip to loose hands.
