Seiko 5 Band Link Removal?

I am trying to remove a couple links on my Seiko 5 metal band, but no pins
to be found like a normal watch??? I do have arrows on the inside, but no
clue what to do? Any help?

I've a Seiko 5 and my band needed several links removed also. I took
it to a local jewelers, who had some sort of tool she used to push out the
pins holding the links together, and then to reinsert them as necessary. The
tool looked like a pair of pliers with large, specially shaped, jaws. Mine
had the arrows too. Not too sure but it appears to me these Seiko 5 metal
bracelets are not intended for home adjustment.

use a strong pin or small screwdriver to push the latch out, make note
of which way it came out and put it back the same way, tap it in firmly
with a small hammer while holding the band on a wood block.

I found the links a tight fit to each other so you may need to loosen
two links on either side to get one out.

also if you say need to remove 3 links, take two out on the 6o'clock
side of the band, the idea is to keep the clasp in the middle of the
wrist, otherwise the watch will not sit straight on the wrist but tend
to hang of one side, because the wrist is longer on the outside or
12o'clock side.

Depends on the band. The more expensive bands have little pins you push
out. The cheaper rolled metal bands are kind of strange. I adjusted mine
with a ballpoint pen. The side that doesn't have the arrow but to which the
arrow is pointing has an insert with a little nobby thing on it. The
wrapped metal comes together above the nobby thing, which is in a u-shaped
cutout. All you do is stick a small screwdriver (or in my case, a ballpoint
pen with a very narrow ball point tip) behind the inner bit of metal with
the nobby thing and push it out in the direction of the arrow (again, it's
NOT on the side of the band with the arrow but across the way.) It somewhat
tight but not excessively so.

If you have to ask that question, it would probably be a good idea
to take it to someone that knows what they are doing. The alternative
is to look at the link provided and figure it out from there. If I were
you I'd punt.

no way! I need to learn as I have too many watches to take them elswhere. I
like the fun of figuring it all out.
