I just got 17 jewel automatic Hamilton that was brand new. As near as I can
determine, the watch dates maybe to the 70's or 80´s. It has a swiss movement
(says so on the dial), and keeps time well (less than -10 sec. per 24h).
What I'm wondering what kind of movement and/or watch I've got (reliability,
who really made it, ect.) Don't find any serial numbers out or in (maybe
that 9951 ????).
Hamilton 9951 All stainless steel waterresistant
Hamilton watch company, no markings on movement. No numbers but 17 jewels.
Face: White face and big numbers. easy to see even in dark. Centre neddles
for the hours and minutes of the watch and seconds of the chronograph.
Also has a "small dials"
1. chronograph 12h dial in the 6 0´clock position
2. watch seconds in 9 o´clock and
3. chronograph 30 min. in 12 0´clock.
Golden circless around these.
4. There is also date and day in 3 0´clock in german (!).
Anybody can tell me anything.
Thank you in advance.
John
